What Is HH3C-STORAGE-REF-MIB?

HH3C-STORAGE-REF-MIB is an H3C enterprise reference MIB that defines shared textual conventions and base object types used by other H3C storage-management MIBs, rather than exposing monitorable data itself. As a textual-convention (TC) module, it establishes common data types for storage-related attributes (such as capacity units, device states, or storage-media identifiers) that dependent MIBs reuse for consistency. Because it is purely a definitional/reference module, it has no direct monitoring role on its own; its value to monitoring is indirect, standardizing how storage hardware status (e.g. disk or storage-device health) is represented across other H3C storage MIBs that import it. Its explicit purpose is to be imported by other HH3C storage MIBs, making it a foundational dependency rather than a standalone monitored module.
