What Is HH3C-LSW-DEV-ADM-MIB?

HH3C-LSW-DEV-ADM-MIB is H3C's (Hangzhou Huawei-3Com, now part of HPE) private device-administration MIB for its LSW family of Layer 2 switches, covering system-level administrative resources and slot/card configuration for the switch chassis. It groups objects related to system resource management and per-slot configuration parameters, positioning it as a device-administration rather than a pure performance-counter MIB. Administrators rely on the HH3C-LSW-DEV-ADM-MIB MIB to monitor switch software/hardware status such as system resource utilization (an indicator akin to CPU/memory pressure) and slot configuration state, helping confirm whether an installed module or card is correctly configured and operating within expected parameters. It builds on H3C's common enterprise MIB conventions and likely complements standard MIB-II and ENTITY-MIB style structures used elsewhere to index chassis slots and physical components. It is deployed on H3C (HPE) Layer 2 switches, both fixed and modular/stackable, in enterprise campus and data-center network environments.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HH3C-LSW-DEV-ADM-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

What Can Be Monitored

  • system resource utilization
  • slot/module configuration status
  • device administrative state

Supported Devices

  • H3C S5560X-EI (2022) — converged Gigabit Layer 2/3 access/aggregation switch series
  • H3C S5560S-SI — Gigabit Layer 3 access switch series for small/midsize business

Monitoring Examples

No concrete sample objects were provided for this module -- its module description simply notes "The latest baseline" -- so specific table or object names cannot be grounded to verified evidence. Based on its stated purpose, an administrator would expect to poll system resource utilization objects and per-slot configuration/status entries to detect a switch running low on system resources or a slot module that has gone offline or is misconfigured, but this cannot be stated as confirmed fact without seeing the actual object names.
