Category: VPN and Security, Vendor: H3C/HH3C

Description: Manages Dynamic VPN (DVPN) tunnels and hub-spoke topology configuration on H3C routers.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HH3C-DVPN-MIB?

HH3C-DVPN-MIB is an H3C (New H3C Technologies) proprietary MIB managing DVPN (Dynamic Virtual Private Network), a dynamic hub-spoke VPN technology for router-to-router tunnels. Its objects cover a service-enable flag, class/client/domain/map/session counts, map-age time, client-registration interval/dumb-mode/retry, input/drop/output/output-error/encrypt-error packet counts, current device role, server pre-shared key, map/session trap enables, DVPN version, clear-all-connections and clear-station-info actions, total-redirect count, and global authentication client type/AAA domain. As a configuration/performance MIB it lets an administrator confirm a DVPN client's registration status and watch drop/encrypt-error packet counts for tunnel problems. It is deployed on H3C (3Com/Huawei) routers using DVPN. Engineers can download the HH3C-DVPN-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HH3C-DVPN-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • H3C (3Com/Huawei) routers (DVPN)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks hh3cDvpnDropPkt and hh3cDvpnEncryptErrorPkt to diagnose a DVPN tunnel dropping traffic due to an encryption mismatch on an H3C router.

What Can Be Monitored

  • DVPN client registration status and packet error counters
