Category: Hardware and Environment
Description: Monitors environmental and power parameters for Sinetica Hawk-I2 intelligent monitoring units in data centers.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HAWK-I2-MIB?
HAWK-I2-MIB is a Sinetica Corporation (enterprise OID 3711) proprietary MIB for the Sinetica Hawk-i2 environmental-monitoring unit. Its objects cover IP-select/insert settings, temperature-scale flag, a THA (Temperature/Humidity/Analog) channel table (channel, reading-set, name, location, auto-detect flag, type, value, scaling, offset, hysteresis), and a threshold table (channel, reading-set, upper/lower control/warning limits) with a trap-enable table. As a status/performance MIB it lets an administrator watch environmental sensor readings against configured control/warning limits on a Sinetica Hawk-i2 unit. It is deployed on the Sinetica Corporation Hawk-i2 environmental-monitoring unit. Engineers can download the HAWK-I2-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HAWK-I2-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Sinetica Corporation Hawk-i2 environmental-monitoring unit
Monitoring Examples
An administrator monitors ipTHAValue against ipTHAThreshUCL/ipTHAThreshLCL to catch an environmental sensor reading outside its control limits on a Sinetica Hawk-i2 unit.
What Can Be Monitored
- environmental sensor readings vs. control/warning thresholds

| U32 trapCode | 1.3.6.1.4.1.3711.24.1.1.100.1 | Unsigned32 | read-only | A decimal number to be carried on notifications of types 1 to 4 identifying the event which caused it. The format of this number is BBEEffCCT where BB is the number of the relevant MIB branch. EE indicates what type of event caused the notification. This value is dependent upon branch number and implementation. CC is the channel number which was the source of the notification. T discriminates the type of data, e.g. temperature. This value is dependent upon branch number and implementation. ff future use. Fields are packed with leading zeros and are set to zero if not relevant to a particular notification. |
| STR trapDescription | 1.3.6.1.4.1.3711.24.1.1.100.2 | DisplayString | read-only | A string to be carried on notifications of types 1 to 4 identifying the event which caused it. The format of this string is as follows. Field 1 - type of notification, e.g. warning, critical, etc. Field 2 - data source, e.g. inputs. Generally this relates to a particular MIB branch. Field 3 - channel number, e.g. input 1. Field 4 - event, i.e. what caused the trap. Field 5 - value at which the event occured, e.g. 900, indicating 90% humidity. Field 6 - type of data, e.g. relative humidity Fields are omitted if not relevant to a particular notification. |
