Description: H3C MIB for monitoring active voice calls providing real-time session details on H3C voice-enabled routers.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is H3C-VOICE-CALL-ACTIVE-MIB?

H3C-VOICE-CALL-ACTIVE-MIB provides real-time visibility into currently active voice calls on H3C voice-enabled routers and gateways, covering both traditional TDM/voice and VoIP call legs. It exposes tables of active call records including connection identifiers, call duration (overall, voice, and fax portions), codec/coder type in use, and fax page counts for active sessions. Its primary monitoring value is software/service status rather than hardware: it lets an operator see how many calls are active, how long they have run, and what codec resources they are consuming, which helps catch stuck or abnormally long-running calls and codec/resource exhaustion. It complements Cisco-style voice MIBs (such as CISCO-VOICE-DIAL-CONTROL-MIB conventions) in spirit but is a distinct H3C enterprise definition without a stated dependency on external standard voice MIBs. It is deployed on H3C voice gateways and integrated access routers carrying enterprise or carrier voice traffic, and operators commonly open an H3C-VOICE-CALL-ACTIVE-MIB MIB Browser session to review the active-call objects during troubleshooting.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in H3C-VOICE-CALL-ACTIVE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • H3C voice gateways
  • H3C voice-enabled routers

Monitoring Examples

An operator would poll h3cVoiceCallActiveTable/h3cVoiceCallActiveEntry for h3cVoCallActiveConnectionId and h3cVoCallActiveTxDuration to spot calls with unusually long durations that may indicate a hung session, and check h3cVoCallActiveCoderType to confirm the expected codec is in use. For VoIP legs, h3cVoiceVoIPCallActiveTable/h3cVoiceVoIPCallActiveEntry with h3cVoVoIPCallActiveConnectionId lets the admin correlate active IP-side call legs with their TDM counterparts.

What Can Be Monitored

  • active call count
  • call connection duration
  • voice vs fax transmission duration
  • active codec/coder type
  • fax page count in progress
