Description: H3C MIB for 802.11 wireless LAN configuration including SSID, security, and radio parameter settings.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is H3C-DOT11-CFG-MIB?
H3C-DOT11-CFG-MIB is an H3C proprietary MIB configuring 802.11 wireless LAN behavior on H3C wireless access controllers (ACs) and access points (APs). Its objects cover the global regulatory country code, station keep-alive and idle timers, broadcast probe-response behavior, AP scan mode, AC-side control/data tunnel security support flags, and automatic-AP provisioning name settings. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm regulatory and timer settings match the deployment's requirements and verify tunnel-security support before enabling encrypted CAPWAP-style tunnels. It is deployed on H3C wireless LAN controllers managing a fleet of access points. Engineers can download the H3C-DOT11-CFG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in H3C-DOT11-CFG-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- H3C wireless LAN controllers (AC) and access points (AP)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks h3cDot11GlobalCountryCode to confirm the wireless controller is set to the correct regulatory domain before troubleshooting APs that won't come up on certain channels.
What Can Be Monitored
- regulatory country code
- station timers
- tunnel security support

| h3cDot11CFG | 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.10.2.75.4 | This MIB provides information about WLAN configuration. GLOSSARY IEEE 802.11 Standard to encourage interoperability among wireless networking equipment. Access point (AP) Transmitter/receiver (transceiver) device that commonly connects and transports data between a wireless network and a wired network. Access control (AC) To control and manage multi-APs, it will bridge wireless and wired network. Fat AP Applied in the home, SOHO and so on, and it could work independently without help from AC. Fit AP Applied in the enterprise environment, it will work under the control and management from AC. Control And Provisioning of Wireless Access Points Protocol The short name of protocol is CAPWAP. AC will control and manage AP by CAPWAP tunnel protocol defined by IETF. Also, a data tunnel will be set up between AC and AP. BSS IEEE 802.11 Basic Service Set (Radio Cell). The BSS of an AP comprises of the stations directly associating with the AP. Radio The chip set to receive and send wireless signal. Association The service used to establish access point or station mapping and enable station invocation of the distribution system services. (Wireless clients attempt to connect to access points.) Basic Rate A data rate that is mandatory for client devices to support in order for them to achieve successful association. MSDU MAC Service Data Unit, it is frame format defined by 802.11. TU It is 1,024 microseconds (ms), which is about 1 millisecond. AKM The authentication and key management method defined by 802.11i, and which includes 802.1x and pre-shared key. | ||
