What Is ERICSSON-ROUTER-IF-CAP?
This AGENT-CAPABILITIES module declares which parts of Ericsson's own proprietary ERICSSON-ROUTER-IF-MIB interface extensions are implemented by the SNMP agent on SmartEdge/SM/SSR platforms. It contains no managed objects itself, only capability statements mapping the IF-MIB extension's groups to supported software releases. It carries no direct uptime, temperature, or load data, but indicates which vendor-specific interface configuration and status extensions an operator can expect to poll. Its content is dependent on the companion ERICSSON-ROUTER-IF-MIB it profiles, which itself extends the standard IF-MIB (RFC 2863). It is used for capability discovery by management tools working with Ericsson router interface extensions. Engineers can download the ERICSSON-ROUTER-IF-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ERICSSON-ROUTER-IF-CAP. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
This is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module with no runtime data objects of its own — only capability clauses referencing groups defined in ERICSSON-ROUTER-IF-MIB. There is no realistic monitoring scenario to describe honestly since it exposes nothing directly pollable by a management station.
