What Is ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-SNMP-FRAMEWORK-CAP?
ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-SNMP-FRAMEWORK-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module describing Ericsson SEOS routers' support for the standard SNMP-FRAMEWORK-MIB (RFC 3411), which defines the architecture for SNMP engines, security models, and message processing. It carries no runtime data, only declaring which framework object groups and compliances are implemented by the agent on a given Ericsson SmartEdge/SM/SSR platform and software release. This matters for software-status/manageability monitoring in that it tells an NMS which core SNMP engine/security-model features (relevant to SNMPv3 support, engine IDs, etc.) are available on the device, informing how monitoring itself should be configured. It explicitly depends on the IETF SNMP-FRAMEWORK-MIB (RFC 3411). It is consulted during initial SNMP agent discovery/configuration of Ericsson routers to determine supported security/framework capabilities.
