What Is ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-EtherLike-CAP?
ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-EtherLike-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module declaring the extent to which Ericsson's SEOS-based router platforms (SmartEdge/SE, SM Metro Ethernet transport family, and Smart Service Router/SSR family) implement the standard IETF EtherLike-MIB (RFC 2665/3635), which covers Ethernet-like interface statistics and duplex/collision status. It defines no managed objects of its own; it only documents which EtherLike-MIB groups and objects are supported by a given Ericsson SEOS software release on each product family. As a pure conformance module it cannot itself be polled for hardware or software status -- the actual Ethernet interface counters, duplex mode, and error statistics it references live in the underlying EtherLike-MIB implementation on the device. It is entirely dependent on, and secondary to, the IETF EtherLike-MIB standard. It would be used by network management tools during MIB compilation/agent capability negotiation to determine which Ethernet-layer statistics are available on Ericsson SmartEdge, SM, or SSR routers, rather than for ongoing runtime monitoring, making the ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-EtherLike-CAP MIB primarily a compile-time reference rather than a live polling target.

Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. Monitoring Examples
This module contains no runtime data objects to poll -- it is a pure AGENT-CAPABILITIES declaration stating which parts of the IETF EtherLike-MIB (Ethernet interface duplex/collision/error statistics) are implemented on Ericsson SmartEdge (SE), SM, and Smart Service Router (SSR) platforms; actual monitoring would be done against the EtherLike-MIB objects themselves, not this capabilities module.
