What Is ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-AGENTX-CAP?
ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-AGENTX-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module declaring how Ericsson's SEOS-based routers (SmartEdge, SM, SSR families) implement the standard IETF AgentX subagent protocol MIB (RFC 2741) at the SNMP master-agent level. It carries no monitoring data of its own; instead it records which AgentX-related object groups and compliances the master agent on a given Ericsson platform/software release actually supports. Because AgentX governs how subagents register and share the SNMP tree with the master agent, this capabilities module indirectly matters for software-status monitoring: it tells an NMS whether extensibility/subagent registration features are available, which affects whether other Ericsson sub-MIBs can be reliably polled. Its dependency is explicit -- it describes conformance to the standard AGENTX-MIB defined in RFC 2741. It is consulted during device/software onboarding to a monitoring platform when validating supported SNMP agent extensibility features per Ericsson SEOS release. Engineers can download the ERICSSON-ROUTER-IETF-AGENTX-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
