What Is ERICSSON-ROUTER-ENVMON-CAP?
ERICSSON-ROUTER-ENVMON-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module that documents which parts of the ERICSSON-ROUTER-ENVMON-MIB (environmental monitoring MIB) a particular Ericsson SEOS software release supports, for the SmartEdge (SE), SM Metro Ethernet, and Smart Service Router (SSR) platform families. It contains no environmental data itself -- fan, power, or temperature values live in the referenced ENVMON-MIB -- but instead enumerates supported object groups and compliance statements for that environmental-monitoring functionality. It therefore plays a supporting, indirect role in hardware health monitoring: it tells an NMS which fan-status, power-status, and other environmental objects are actually implemented on a given router model/software version before the NMS attempts to poll them. It is explicitly dependent on ERICSSON-ROUTER-ENVMON-MIB, the module whose capabilities it describes. It is used during device/agent discovery in provisioning or monitoring-system onboarding for Ericsson router deployments. Engineers can download the ERICSSON-ROUTER-ENVMON-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ERICSSON-ROUTER-ENVMON-CAP. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
As an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module, it defines no runtime objects itself; it only SUPPORTS specific object groups and compliances from ERICSSON-ROUTER-ENVMON-MIB (e.g. fan and power status groups) per SEOS PRODUCT-RELEASE. There is no monitoring scenario to describe here since the module carries no pollable counters or status values of its own.
