What Is EQUALLOGIC-SMI?
EQUALLOGIC-SMI is Dell EqualLogic's Structure of Management Information root MIB, defining the enterprise OID tree under which all EqualLogic PS Series iSCSI SAN storage MIB modules register. It exposes a products registration node and the eqlPSSeries subtree specifically, anchoring the namespace for EqualLogic's storage-array management MIBs. Browsing EQUALLOGIC-SMI in a MIB Browser is mainly useful for confirming this eqlPSSeries OID placement before navigating to the data-bearing PS Series MIBs. While this root module itself carries no runtime counters, the eqlPSSeries subtree it defines is where dependent MIBs report storage-array hardware and software status, including disk/RAID health, controller status, power-supply and fan health, and array uptime, for EqualLogic SANs. It establishes the Dell enterprise-registered OID base -- Dell acquired EqualLogic in 2008 -- consumed by the full family of EqualLogic PS Series MIBs, and it is deployed in Dell EqualLogic PS Series iSCSI SAN storage arrays used in enterprise and data-center storage environments.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in EQUALLOGIC-SMI. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
The sample objects products and eqlPSSeries are registration nodes identifying the PS Series product family rather than pollable data; an admin's MIB browser uses eqlPSSeries to navigate to the actual PS Series storage-array MIBs that report disk, controller, and power-supply status. No concrete counter-level monitoring example is given honestly since this root module exposes no runtime tables of its own.
