Description: Network Technologies Inc. E-1W environmental monitoring MIB for single-wire sensor hubs monitoring temperature and digital inputs.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ENVIROMUX-1W-MIB?

ENVIROMUX-1W-MIB is Network Technologies Inc.'s (NTI) MIB for its E-1W single-wire environmental sensor hub, a compact device that aggregates readings from 1-Wire bus-connected temperature and digital input sensors. It exposes an external sensor inventory and readings table (extSensorTable/extSensorEntry) giving each sensor's type, description, current value, and unit, plus a digital input table (digInputTable/digInputEntry) reporting the state and description of connected dry-contact/digital inputs. Its purpose is entirely hardware/environmental status monitoring: administrators track temperature (and other sensor-type) readings for overheating detection, and digital input states for conditions like an open door, water leak, or other contact-closure alarms wired into the hub. It is a standalone NTI enterprise MIB with no notable external MIB dependency, functioning as a dedicated environmental-monitoring appliance rather than an extension of another device's management data. It is deployed in server rooms, network closets, and remote equipment cabinets, where ENVIROMUX-1W-MIB SNMP monitoring gives operators low-cost temperature and digital-alarm visibility.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ENVIROMUX-1W-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • NTI (Network Technologies Inc.) E-1W environmental sensor hub

Monitoring Examples

An administrator walks extSensorTable/extSensorEntry by extSensorIndex to read extSensorValue and extSensorUnit for each attached temperature probe, alerting when a reading exceeds a safe threshold in the equipment room. extSensorType and extSensorDescription identify which physical sensor (e.g., "Rack 3 Intake") produced a given reading, aiding fault localization. digInputTable/digInputEntry is polled via digInputIndex to check digInputValue against digInputDescription, catching an open door-contact or water-sensor trip wired into one of the E-1W's digital inputs.

What Can Be Monitored

  • temperature sensor readings
  • other 1-Wire sensor readings and units
  • digital input (dry-contact) state
  • sensor/input descriptions and inventory
