What Is CISCO-CAT6K-CROSSBAR-CAPABILITY?
CISCO-CAT6K-CROSSBAR-CAPABILITY is a Cisco AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module, not a data-bearing MIB, for the Catalyst 6500 series switching platform's crossbar switching fabric. It declares which groups of the companion CISCO-CAT6K-CROSSBAR-MIB a given Catalyst 6500 supervisor/fabric module implements. It exposes no runtime hardware status itself, though it governs availability of crossbar fabric health objects (elsewhere used to monitor switching fabric status such as fabric channel state or bandwidth) on a given platform. It is entirely dependent on the CISCO-CAT6K-CROSSBAR-MIB it profiles. It is used by NMS tools to confirm crossbar fabric MIB support before attempting to monitor switching fabric health on a Catalyst 6500.
