Category: IP and Core Protocols, Vendor: Eltex
Description: Eltex ARP interface table MIB for managing per-interface ARP entries and address resolution configuration on Eltex devices.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ELTEX-ARP-INTERFACE-TABLE-MIB?
ELTEX-ARP-INTERFACE-TABLE-MIB is a narrow, vendor-specific MIB from Eltex Enterprise for managing per-interface ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) behavior, specifically local ARP proxy settings, on Eltex network devices. It exposes a single table mapping each interface to an ARP local-proxy configuration setting. Its monitoring role is purely configuration/software-status oriented, letting an operator confirm whether ARP proxying is enabled or disabled on a given interface, which affects how the device answers ARP requests on behalf of other hosts. It complements the standard IETF IP-MIB/ARP tables (ipNetToMediaTable) rather than replacing them, adding an Eltex-specific proxy toggle not covered by standard MIBs. It is deployed on Eltex Enterprise switches and routers where local ARP proxying needs to be verified or audited per interface. Engineers can download the ELTEX-ARP-INTERFACE-TABLE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ELTEX-ARP-INTERFACE-TABLE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Eltex Enterprise switches and routers
Monitoring Examples
An operator polls eltArpInterfaceTable/eltArpInterfaceEntry to read eltArpInterfaceArpLocalProxy for each interface, confirming ARP proxy is enabled only on the intended interfaces, such as a WAN uplink, and not accidentally left on elsewhere, which could otherwise cause unexpected ARP responses and connectivity confusion on a LAN segment.
What Can Be Monitored
- per-interface ARP local-proxy enable/disable state
