Category: Technology: VLAN, Vendor: D-Link
Description: Manages VLAN trunking configuration and trunk port attributes for inter-switch VLAN propagation on D-Link devices.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is Dlink-VLAN-TRUNKING-MIB?
Dlink-VLAN-TRUNKING-MIB is a D-Link, Inc. proprietary MIB (built on DLINK-3100-MIB) with two objects — a VLAN-trunking-enabled flag and an uplink-ports list — configuring VLAN trunk-group uplinks. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm which ports are designated VLAN-trunking uplinks on a D-Link switch. It is deployed on D-Link switching equipment (VLAN trunking). Engineers can download the Dlink-VLAN-TRUNKING-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Dlink-VLAN-TRUNKING-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- D-Link switching equipment (VLAN trunking)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks rlVlanTrunkingUplinkPorts to confirm which ports are designated VLAN-trunking uplinks on a D-Link switch.
What Can Be Monitored
- VLAN-trunking uplink port configuration
