Module: DOCS-RPHY-PTP-MIB

OID (symbolic): DOCS-RPHY-PTP-MIB::docsRphyPtpCcapCurrentDataSetMeanPathDelay

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4491.2.1.32.1.2.2.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: This attribute is an implementation-specific representation of the current value of the mean propagation time between a master and slave clock as computed by the slave. Zero means that the path delay is unavailable.

What is docsRphyPtpCcapCurrentDataSetMeanPathDelay?

This OID reports, in nanoseconds, the current mean one-way network propagation delay between the PTP master and this CCAP as computed by the slave; a value of zero means the path delay hasn't been measured yet. Admins check this when troubleshooting timing accuracy, since a high or unavailable path delay can point to network path issues affecting PTP sync.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4491.2.1.32.1.2.2.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DOCS-RPHY-PTP-MIB::docsRphyPtpCcapCurrentDataSetMeanPathDelay

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.4491.2.1.32.1.2.2.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DOCS-RPHY-PTP-MIB::docsRphyPtpCcapCurrentDataSetMeanPathDelay.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> docsRphyPtpCcapCurrentDataSetMeanPathDelay.1
