Description:
This attribute allows the overwrite of the DSCP field per RFC 3260. If this attribute is -1, then the corresponding TosAndMask value is set to be 'FF'H and TosOrMask is set to '00'H. Otherwise, this attribute is in the range of 0..63, and the corresponding TosAndMask value is '03'H and TosOrMaskvalue is this attribute value shifted left by two bit positions.
What is docsQosServiceClassDSCPOverwrite?
This attribute controls whether to rewrite the DSCP (Differentiated Services Code Point) field in packets for a service class, allowing the cable network to enforce its own QoS markings. If set to -1, the system performs no modification; otherwise it replaces the DSCP with a specific value. Cable operators use this to ensure service classes receive consistent priority treatment regardless of markings from subscriber devices.
