Category: Vendor: D-Link
Description: Manages Two-Band Interface (TBI) or trunk bandwidth interface configuration on D-Link 3100 series switches.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is DLINK-3100-TBI-MIB?
DLINK-3100-TBI-MIB, despite its "Two-Band Interface" sounding name, actually implements Time Range Infrastructure for the 3100 series switches: named time-range profiles with absolute start/end windows and periodic weekly schedules used to activate other features such as ACLs on a schedule. It exposes an absolute time-range table (name, start, end, active status) and a periodic time-range table (name, weekday list, start time), both configuration-oriented rather than hardware telemetry. Its main operational-health value is confirming a time-based policy is currently marked active per rlTBITimeRangeActiveStatus, helping explain why a dependent feature is or isn't currently in effect. As a scheduling primitive, other D-Link feature MIBs (ACLs, policies) depend on the time-range names defined here rather than the reverse. It is deployed on D-Link DES-3100 switches wherever time-of-day/day-of-week activation of network policies is required. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the DLINK-3100-TBI-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in DLINK-3100-TBI-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- D-Link DES-3100 series switch
Monitoring Examples
An administrator investigating why an ACL didn't activate as expected would check rlTBITimeRangeTable/rlTBITimeRangeEntry for the relevant rlTBITimeRangeName, confirming its rlTBITimeRangeAbsoluteStart/End window and current rlTBITimeRangeActiveStatus. For a recurring schedule, rlTBIPeriodicTable/rlTBIPeriodicEntry would be checked for the correct rlTBIPeriodicWeekDayList and rlTBIPeriodicStart time. A time range showing inactive during its intended window points to a clock/timezone mismatch on the switch rather than a policy configuration error.
What Can Be Monitored
- defined time-range names and windows
- absolute start/end schedule
- periodic weekday/start schedule
- time-range active status
