Category: Technology: Routing/L3, Vendor: D-Link
Description: L3 management MIB for D-Link DGS-3000-28SC SFP switch covering routing protocols and Layer 3 management objects.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is DGS3000-28SC-L3MGMT-MIB?
This is a D-Link proprietary enterprise MIB defining the Layer 3 management information structure for the DGS-3000-28SC fiber (SFP) switch. Based on its family naming and short description, it exposes routing-protocol configuration and status objects (such as OSPF and route preference) analogous to those documented in sibling DGS-3000/3600 series L3MGMT MIBs. As a monitoring module its purpose is to verify the software-configured state of the routing control plane -- whether the expected routing protocols and route-selection policy are active -- rather than reporting raw hardware sensors, which are handled by the switch's system MIB. It depends on the switch's companion L2MGMT and system/product MIBs for a full management picture, and conceptually parallels standard OSPF/multicast routing concepts used elsewhere in the DGS-3000 family. It is deployed in enterprise or campus network closets where DGS-3000-28SC switches provide fiber-uplinked Layer 3 routing/switching, polled via an SNMP-based NMS. Engineers can download the DGS3000-28SC-L3MGMT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in DGS3000-28SC-L3MGMT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- D-Link DGS-3000-28SC Layer 3 managed switch
Monitoring Examples
No specific object or table names were included in the available source excerpt for this module; based on the near-identical structure of sibling D-Link L3MGMT MIBs (e.g. DGS3000-26TC-L3MGMT-MIB's swL3OspfECMPState and swL3RoutePreference), it would expose analogous OSPF ECMP state and route-preference objects. An administrator would typically poll such objects to confirm OSPF multipath behavior and administrative route priority, which would reveal unexpected route selection or a disabled routing feature.
What Can Be Monitored
- routing protocol (e.g. OSPF) configuration/state
- route preference / administrative distance

| IP swL3IpStaticRouteDest | 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.133.5.1.3.2.5.1.1 | IpAddress | read-only | The destination IP address of this route. This object may not take a Multicast (Class D) address value. Any assignment (implicit or otherwise) of an instance of this object to a value x must be rejected if the bitwise logical-AND of x with the value of the corresponding instance of the swL3IpStaticRouteMask object is not equal to x. |
| IP swL3IpStaticRouteMask | 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.133.5.1.3.2.5.1.2 | IpAddress | read-only | Indicate the mask to be logical-AND with the destination address before being compared to the value in the swL3IpStaticRouteDest field. For those systems that do not support arbitrary subnet masks, an agent constructs the value of the swL3IpStaticRouteMask by reference to the IP Address Class. Any assignment (implicit or otherwise) of an instance of this object to a value x must be rejected if the bitwise logical-AND of x with the value of the corresponding instance of the swL3IpStaticRouteDest object is not equal to swL3IpStaticRouteDest. |
