Description: D-Link 3100 delete image MIB providing objects to manage and delete firmware image files stored on the device.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is DLINK-3100-DELETEIMG-MIB?
This is a small D-Link enterprise MIB for the 3100 series switch that provides a single administrative function: deleting a stored firmware image file (image_1 or image_2) from device flash storage. It exposes a control object used to select and trigger deletion of one of the two firmware image slots. Its purpose is firmware/software image management rather than status monitoring, giving administrators remote control over which firmware images occupy the device's limited flash storage rather than reporting on running software version or health. It has no apparent dependency on other standard MIBs, being a narrowly scoped vendor control extension. It is typically deployed in enterprise environments performing remote firmware maintenance on fleets of D-Link 3100 series switches, freeing flash space before uploading a new image. Engineers can download the DLINK-3100-DELETEIMG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in DLINK-3100-DELETEIMG-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- D-Link 3100 series switch
Monitoring Examples
No runtime monitoring data objects are present in this MIB; it is a narrow control module with essentially one function, selecting image_1 or image_2 for deletion, rather than something with values to poll. An administrator would use it purely as a remote-management action ahead of a firmware upgrade, not as part of routine status monitoring.
