Description: This object specifies the authentication key for the primary NTP server.
What is ntpPrimaryServerAuthKey?
This VariablePointer object specifies which authentication key to use when communicating with the primary NTP server. An admin points this at a configured key entry (such as one defined in the f3NtpAuthKey table) so NTP exchanges with the primary server are authenticated rather than accepted in the clear. For example, an operator hardening time synchronization against spoofed NTP responses would set ntpPrimaryServerAuthKey to reference the same key configured on the primary NTP server.
