Description: The counter associated with the number of Coding Violations encountered by the SONET/SDH STS/VC Path in the current bin.
What is stsVcPathStatsCVs?
This PerfCounter64 counts Coding Violations encountered by the SONET/SDH STS/VC Path in the current bin, i.e. path-layer BIP parity errors accumulating right now. An admin watches live path CVs to detect an emerging payload-level problem, such as pointer justification issues or a path-terminating equipment fault, ahead of it developing into severely errored seconds. A sudden spike in stsVcPathStatsCVs mid-bin on an STS-3c path carrying an Ethernet-over-SONET circuit would prompt the admin to check that circuit's mapping configuration before the customer notices packet loss.
