This read-write object stores the high-order 32 bits of the same 64-bit threshold value split across cmFlowThresholdValueLo and cmFlowThresholdValueHi. Because flow counters can be PerfCounter64 values that exceed 32 bits, this high-order half lets the device compare against thresholds larger than about 4.29 billion, which matters on high-traffic flows. For example, an admin configuring an alarm for a very high-throughput flow's byte counter would need to populate cmFlowThresholdValueHi with a nonzero value once the intended limit exceeds the 32-bit range.
