What is cmEthernetTrafficPortStatsAclDropNoMatch?
This counter records the number of Layer 3 control protocol frames dropped on this port because they didn't match any configured ACL rule. A rising count can indicate to the admin that a control protocol, such as routing hellos, is being unintentionally blocked by an incomplete ACL, potentially breaking adjacencies. For example, if an OSPF neighbor relationship on this port keeps failing to form, the admin would check cmEthernetTrafficPortStatsAclDropNoMatch to see if OSPF hello frames are being silently dropped for lack of a matching permit rule.
