What is cmEthernetTrafficPortHistoryFmcd?
This counter records the number of multicast frames dropped on this Ethernet port during the archived historical interval. A historical value helps the admin date exactly when multicast delivery problems, such as a dropped IPTV stream, began on this port. For example, if a customer says their set-top box lost channels a couple days ago, the admin would step through the recent daily cmEthernetTrafficPortHistoryFmcd bins to find when multicast drops first appeared.
