This counter records the number of jabber events, oversized malformed frames typically caused by a faulty NIC, detected on this Ethernet port during the archived historical interval. A nonzero historical jabber count strongly points the admin toward a malfunctioning device connected to this port during that period, since jabbers are a classic symptom of failing network interface hardware.
