A historical review of drop events helps the admin determine whether a period of poor customer-reported performance coincided with actual port-level resource exhaustion. For example, if a subscriber's ticket references slowness three days ago, the admin would check that day's cmEthernetTrafficPortHistoryESDE bin to see if the port was dropping traffic at that time.
