Reviewing outbound broadcast history lets the admin see whether this port was itself flooding broadcast traffic onto the network during a past period, distinct from broadcast frames it merely received. For example, if downstream ports reported broadcast storms yesterday, the admin would check cmEthernetTrafficPortHistoryESBF on the suspected source port for that interval to confirm it was the origin.
