This threshold setting defines the acceptable variance (in decibels per milliwatt) for optical power levels received on an Ethernet port before an alarm condition is triggered. If incoming signal strength deviates beyond this variance, the system generates a threshold-crossing alert to notify operators of potential optical signal degradation.
