cmEthernetNetPortThresholdValueHi

Module: CM-PERFORMANCE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-PERFORMANCE-MIB::cmEthernetNetPortThresholdValueHi

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.5.1.7.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: Higher 32 bits of the threshold value. Please note that in case of cmEthernetNetPortStatsOPR, cmEthernetNetPortStatsOPT and cmEthernetNetPortStatsTEMP, the values are 2's complement, since these could have negative values.

What is cmEthernetNetPortThresholdValueHi?

This read-write Unsigned32 object holds the upper 32 bits of the configured 64-bit threshold value, stored as two's complement when the monitored field (such as optical power or temperature) can be negative. An admin sets it to define the numeric trigger point at which a threshold-crossing alert should fire. To alarm once traffic on network (uplink) port 23 sustains roughly 900 Mbps, an operator would write the upper half of that limit into cmEthernetNetPortThresholdValueHi, pairing it with the other half in the sibling object.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.5.1.7.1.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CM-PERFORMANCE-MIB::cmEthernetNetPortThresholdValueHi

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.5.1.7.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CM-PERFORMANCE-MIB::cmEthernetNetPortThresholdValueHi.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.5.1.7.1.5.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> cmEthernetNetPortThresholdValueHi.1
