This PerfCounter64 counts xDSL downstream packets on an Ethernet network port's DSL line in the current bin, i.e. traffic volume sent from the network toward the customer. An admin checks live downstream packet counts to confirm content is actually being delivered to a customer over the DSL line, useful when a customer reports not receiving expected data. If a customer reports no incoming traffic and cmEthernetNetPortStatsXdslDsPkt reads zero for the current bin on their port, the admin has immediate confirmation the downstream path itself is the problem.
