What is hrfsindex?
This read-only integer is a fixed identifier assigned to the file system present on the printer's storage device, chosen by whoever defined the printer's object model rather than by any run-time allocation. It stays constant across printer restarts, giving a management station a stable key for tracking the same logical file system over time. For example, an admin polling hrfsindex before and after a power cycle should see the exact same value, confirming the printer did not reassign or lose track of its file system identity.
