Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCOSB-MAC-BASE-PRIO?

CISCOSB-MAC-BASE-PRIO is a Cisco Small Business (Radlan-based firmware) proprietary MIB configuring MAC-address-based QoS priority overrides. Its objects cover MIB version, feature-support flag, a force-Layer-3-CoS enable flag with a table (MAC address/mask, row status) and parameters table (traffic class, user priority, DSCP), and a SADATC (Source-Address-based Data Traffic Classification) enable flag with its own table (MAC address/mask, priority, row status). As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm which MAC addresses have forced QoS priority overrides on a Cisco Small Business switch. It is deployed on Cisco Small Business managed switches. Engineers can download the CISCOSB-MAC-BASE-PRIO file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCOSB-MAC-BASE-PRIO. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco Small Business managed switches

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks rlMacBasePrioForceL3CosParamsEntryDSCP to confirm the forced DSCP marking applied to a specific MAC address on a Cisco Small Business switch.
