Description: The local device's Appliance ID, as will be advertised in subsequent CDP messages. A value of zero denotes no Appliance VLAN-ID TLV will be advertised in subsequent CDP messages.
What is rlCdpTlvApplianceID?
This read-only Unsigned32 is the Appliance ID this device will advertise in future CDP messages, with a value of zero meaning no Appliance VLAN-ID TLV will be sent at all. An admin reads it to know whether and how the device is set up to advertise appliance (e.g., VoIP phone integration) information via CDP. For example, an admin troubleshooting a phone that isn't auto-configuring its voice VLAN would check this field on the switch port to confirm an Appliance ID is actually being advertised.
