OID (symbolic): CISCO-XGCP-MIB::cXgcpMgcConfigAddress

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.318.1.1.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Description: This object specifies the address of the MGC the gateway used to communicate with in call setup.

This object cXgcpMgcConfigAddress and object cXgcpMgcConfigMgcGrpNum are mutually exclusive. The object cXgcpMgcConfigAddress can be set only when the object cXgcpMgcConfigMgcGrpNum is equal to 0. Otherwise, the SET will be rejected with error.

What is cXgcpMgcConfigAddress?

This read-write InetAddress specifies the address of the MGC the gateway uses for call setup communication, and is mutually exclusive with cXgcpMgcConfigMgcGrpNum -- it can only be set while that group number is 0, otherwise the SET is rejected with an error. Admins use this for gateways pointed at a single fixed call agent rather than a redundant group. For example, an admin trying to set this address on a gateway that already has a non-zero MGC group number would get an error and would need to zero out the group number first.
