Description: This object identifies DTMF relay codec for VoIP. This object is not applicable if cxeCallCtrlVoIpDtmfRelay is DtmfRelayDisabled.
What is cxeCallCtrlVoIpDtmfCodec?
This read-write DtmfCodecType object identifies which codec is used to relay DTMF digits for VoIP calls, applicable only when DTMF relay is not disabled. An admin cares because the DTMF relay codec must be compatible with what the far-end gateway or call agent expects, or touch-tone signaling (like IVR input) will fail even though voice audio works fine. For example, if callers report that automated phone-menu key presses are not registering, an admin might check whether this codec value is mismatched with the receiving system's expected DTMF codec.
