Description: This object identifies DTMF relay CODEC for Voice over AAL2. This object is not applicable if cxeCallCtrlVoAal2DtmfRelay is DtmfRelayDisabled.
What is cxeCallCtrlVoAal2DtmfCodec?
This read-write DtmfCodecType object identifies the DTMF relay codec used for calls carried over Voice over AAL2, and has no effect if AAL2 DTMF relay is disabled. Admins managing ATM voice gateways care because a codec mismatch here can cause touch-tone signaling failures on AAL2 trunks even though the underlying voice path is up. For example, an admin migrating an AAL2 voice trunk to a new call agent would verify this codec matches the far end before cutting over live traffic.
