Description: This object identifies the number of times of Real Time Control Transport (RTCP) report interval if the media gateway has not recieved any RTCP packets from another side.

The media gateway will mark another side inactive, or delete it if no RTCP packet has been received for the value of this object times the RTCP report interval.

What is cxeCallCtrlRtcpRcvTimer?

This read-write Integer32 (1-10, in units of RTCP report intervals) sets how many consecutive missed RTCP reports from the far side the media gateway will tolerate before marking that side inactive or deleting it. It directly affects how quickly a dead or unresponsive call leg is detected and cleaned up, which matters for freeing resources and triggering failover. For example, setting this to 3 means the gateway waits for three full RTCP report intervals of silence from the remote side before declaring it inactive.
