This read-write object is a command to add, delete, or modify one or more T1 or E1 mappings on the SRME, defaulting to modify; notably, only the srmeVtFramingType object can be changed once a distribution link exists -- changing any other parameter requires deleting the link and re-adding it. An admin who needs to change the target slot for an existing SRME mapping (not just its framing type) must set this to delete and then re-add the mapping with the new target, since in-place modification of those fields isn't supported. This constraint is important for an admin planning maintenance windows around SRME remapping.
