Module: CISCO-VISM-SVC-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-SVC-MIB::vismSvcAtmQosCtd
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.5.19.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-write
Description: End-to-end maximum cell transfer delay used in voice SVC establishment. It is used to guarantee the quality of the route selected for a voice SVC. It is applicable to both AAL1 and AAL2 SVC connection establishment. The value specified to this object is in 'micro-seconds'. This value is sent in voice SVC setup messages in end-to-end transit delay information element as the objective value.
What is vismSvcAtmQosCtd?
This read-write Integer32 (20000-150000 microseconds) sets the end-to-end maximum cell transfer delay objective used when establishing voice SVCs, applicable to both AAL1 and AAL2, sent in the setup message's end-to-end transit delay information element. An admin cares because this value directly bounds the acceptable one-way network delay for the selected route, which affects perceived voice call quality. For example, an operator connecting sites over a long-haul ATM network would need to set this maximum transfer delay high enough to accommodate the physical distance while still catching genuinely excessive-delay routes.
