Module: CISCO-VISM-SVC-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-SVC-MIB::vismSvcAtmQosClr

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.5.19.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: Maximum Cell Loss Ratio used in voice SVC establishment. It is used to guarantee the quality of the route selected for a voice SVC. It is applicable to both AAL1 and AAL2 SVC connection establishment. This value is sent in voice SVC setup messages in extended quality of services information element as maximum cell loss ratio value.

What is vismSvcAtmQosClr?

This read-write Integer32 (4-8) sets the maximum Cell Loss Ratio (expressed as a negative power-of-ten exponent) used when establishing voice SVCs, applicable to both AAL1 and AAL2, sent in the setup message's extended QoS information element. An admin cares because this value determines how strict the acceptable cell loss threshold is for the route selected during SVC signaling. For example, an operator wanting the strictest possible loss guarantee for critical voice traffic would set this to 8, corresponding to a stricter maximum cell loss ratio than a setting of 4.
