vismVoIpLapdTrunkPVC

Module: CISCO-VISM-MODULE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-MODULE-MIB::vismVoIpLapdTrunkPVC

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.3.17.2.15

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object should be used for VoIP Trunking applications and only if the signaling type is configured to be CCS(Common Channel Signaling). By default the PRI(Primary Rate Interface) D-channel information will be sent on the control channel. If the control network is totally separated from the bearer network then the user needs to set this object to 'bearer' to send his LAPD(Link Access Procedure on the D-channel) Trunk messages to the remote VISM.

What is vismVoIpLapdTrunkPVC?

This read-write INTEGER, used only for VoIP trunking with CCS signaling, chooses whether PRI D-channel LAPD trunk messages are sent on the control channel (the default) or the bearer channel. This gives an admin the ability to route D-channel signaling over the bearer network path instead of control when the control and bearer networks are physically separated. For example, in a deployment where control traffic goes over a management network fully isolated from the bearer/media network, an admin would set vismVoIpLapdTrunkPVC to bearer so LAPD trunk messages actually reach their destination.
