Module: CISCO-VISM-MODULE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-MODULE-MIB::vismTrapIntIndex2

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.3.17.5.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: This object is used only for the purpose of sending it in the trap varbind. This object is used for two purposes:

1. This object will be used when the SMIv2 table has two index objects and the 2nd object is an integer. This object will be used instead of the actual second index object. The instance value of the object will be the instance value of the actual second index.

2. In the config change trap trapVismTableChange, to send the index value of the table entry which got changed. This object will contain the value of the second integer index.

The NMS applications should not depend on the implementation of this object. The SNMP Requests(GET,GET-NEXT) may not be valid for this object.

What is vismTrapIntIndex2?

This read-only Integer32 (0 to 2147483647) exists solely to be carried as a trap varbind, used when an SMIv2 table has a second, integer-valued index object, substituting for that actual second index in the notification. An admin cares because this lets VISM traps report the full two-part index of a changed multi-index table row generically. For example, when a two-index table entry changes, an NMS would read this object alongside vismTrapIntIndex1 to reconstruct the complete row identity referenced by the trap.
