Module: CISCO-VISM-MODULE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-MODULE-MIB::vismPayloadType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.3.17.3.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: This object specifies the payload type to be used when fax upspeed happens.

IANA values (0..95) are static payload and (96..127) are dynamic payload type.

This object is applicable only in the case of VoIP applications, for AAL2 the upspeedCodec is obtained from profile table and this object will have no affect.

What is vismPayloadType?

This read-write Integer32 (0..256) specifies the RTP payload type used when fax upspeed happens, applicable to VoIP applications, with IANA static payload types in 0-95 and dynamic types in 96-127; it has no effect for AAL2. This must match what the far-end gateway expects for the upspeed codec's payload type, or the fax renegotiation could fail to be recognized correctly. For example, if a fax call drops immediately after the upspeed tone is detected, an admin would check whether vismPayloadType matches the value expected by the connected far-end gateway.
