What is vismChanXmtATMState?
This read-only INTEGER object indicates the transmit state of a channel on the ATM (network-facing) side: other, normal, sendingAIS (sending AIS alarm toward the network), or sendingFERF (sending Far End Receive Failure indication). This tells an admin what alarm condition, if any, this channel is currently signaling outward toward the ATM network, distinguishing an actively alarming transmit path from a healthy one. An engineer seeing a channel flagged sendingAIS would investigate what local defect this channel detected that's causing it to alert the network side.
