vismChanScrEgress

Module: CISCO-VISM-CONN-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-CONN-MIB::vismChanScrEgress

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.5.3.1.1.1.35

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: This object defines the SCR (Sustained Cell Rate) for the PVC in the egress direction. SCR is used for VBR connection types only. No traffic shaping is done on the VISM card, this value is useful for setting up the parameters for the end-to-end PVC.

What is vismChanScrEgress?

This read-write Integer32 object (1-100000), in cells-per-second, defines the Sustained Cell Rate for the PVC in the egress direction, used for VBR connection types only, with no traffic shaping performed on the VISM card itself, this value being useful for setting up end-to-end PVC parameters. This is the egress-direction counterpart to vismChanScrIngress, similarly serving to inform the broader ATM network's traffic contract rather than shaping traffic locally. An engineer setting up a VBR connection with asymmetric traffic patterns would configure this egress SCR value independently from the ingress SCR to match actual expected traffic in each direction.
