vismChanReroute
Module: CISCO-VISM-CONN-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-CONN-MIB::vismChanReroute
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.5.3.1.1.1.40
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: This is used by the administrator to trigger the re-routing of the connection. The re-routing takes effect, when this object is set to 'true (1)'. When set to 'false (2)', no action is taken. A get on this object always returns 'false (2)'.
What is vismChanReroute?
This read-write TruthValue object lets an administrator trigger connection re-routing by setting it to true, with false meaning no action is taken, and a GET always returning false. Since a GET never reflects true, this object functions purely as a one-shot administrative trigger action rather than a persistent state to monitor. An engineer wanting to force a connection off a degraded path onto a better route would set this object to true to initiate re-routing rather than expecting to read back a lasting 'rerouting' status.
