OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-CONN-MIB::vismChanPortNum

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.5.3.1.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: This refers to the virtual port between VISM and PXM. This number is defaulted to the appropriate number for the shelf, in PXM1 the value is 1 and 255 for PXM1E.

What is vismChanPortNum?

This read-write Integer32 object (1-255) refers to the virtual port between VISM and PXM, defaulting to 1 on a PXM1 shelf and 255 on a PXM1E shelf. This setting connects a VISM channel to the correct virtual port on the switching backplane card, and getting the default wrong for the shelf type could misroute the channel. An engineer configuring channels on a PXM1E-based shelf would verify this object reflects 255 rather than assuming the PXM1 default of 1 applies.
