Module: CISCO-VISM-CONN-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-CONN-MIB::vismChanCdvt

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.5.3.1.1.1.33

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: This object defines the CDVT (Cell Delay Variation Tolerance) for the connection. CDVT is useful for determining the playout buffer size in the DSPs. This object is applicable only in AAL1 adaptation. For AAL2, the equivalent of this parameter, known as PDVT (Packet Delay Variation Tolerance) is internally derived.

What is vismChanCdvt?

This read-write Integer32 object (1-30) defines the Cell Delay Variation Tolerance for a connection, used to determine playout buffer size in the DSPs, applicable only to AAL1 adaptation (with AAL2 instead internally deriving an equivalent PDVT parameter). This value directly sizes the jitter buffer the DSP uses to smooth out cell arrival timing variation for AAL1 traffic. An engineer configuring an AAL1 connection experiencing audio artifacts from cell timing jitter would adjust this CDVT value to give the DSP a larger playout buffer margin.
